A special delegation from the Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS) in the United Kingdom will visit the Environmental Monitoring Information System of Kuwait (eMISK) at the Environment Public Authority (KEPA) during the period 19-22 September 2011. This visit comes as part of implementing the Memorandum of Agreement signed between KEPA and CEFAS in October 2010.
The purpose of this visit is to discuss and coordinate all issues related to providng the necessary consultation and supervising KEPA projects which will be implemented in collaboration with CEFAS, including the newly proposed project "eMISK-Marine" .This new project will establish a Comprehensive Marine Inventory for the State of Kuwait. The project will also establish a comprehensive geo-database containing all components (physical, chemical and biological) and aspects of the marine environment including all its ecosystems and habitats. This new project is due to be launched early next year 2012.
