"Beatona" wins the 1st Prize of Kuwait Electronic Award-2012

The Kuwait's Official Environmental Portal "www.Beatona.net" has been awarded on the 27 day of May 2012 the 1st prize of Kuwait Electronic Award for the category "Electronic Health". This Kuwait Electronic Award is hosted annually under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and organized by Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science (KFAS) in collaboration with The UN's Global Alliance for Information and Communication Technologies and Development (GAID). Wining the Kuwait Electronic Award is a clear recognition of the remarkable efforts demonstrated by the Environmental Monitoring Information System of Kuwait (eMISK) for the development of Beatona "Kuwait's Official Environmental Portal'. The director of KFAS presents to H.H. the Amir the winners of the Kuwait Electronic Competition, in the fields of e-government, electronic education, electronic sciences, electronic entertainment, electronic health and electronic trade.  

 

In line with the objectives of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science to encourage progress in the field of information technology, Kuwait e-Award was launched under the auspices of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah - Chairman of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science - and is consistent with the directives of His Highness to encourage technology progression and enrichment in creating and producing technology that is built on a scientific basis, and creating a competitive environment for Kuwaiti youth to raise the level of quality for their technological projects that allows them to compete in the internationally, and enhance the status of the State of Kuwait on the map of global technology.

 

The team of eMISK and Beatona at EPA is proud to be part of this momentous achievement, and takes this opportunity to extend its thanks and gratitude to the contribution of the so many individuals and organizations who supported the development of Kuwait's Official Environmental Portal "www.Beatona.net" and provided direct or indirect contribution, information and environmental data that are presented under the various environmental domains and modules within "Beatona".
